Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI)

Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI) is a Not-for-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 1996 by a group of scientists, educationists and social workers envisioning reengineering of the society through uplifting of its marginalized segments. CIGI focuses on enabling the creation of an empowered, self-sufficient, vibrant and influential generation of people with strongly inculcated progressive values, who in turn will contribute to an equitable and inclusive nation building.

Headquartered in Calicut, CIGI under the visionary leadership of its founder late Dr. K M Aboobacker, has grown into one of the most established and reliable NGOs in the educational and career guidance sector. Beginning as a pioneer in the field of career assessment and guidance, CIGI has over the years, widened its scope to include social intervention at the grass roots level encompassing educational enhancement, psychological well-being and skill development for better employability and self-reliance. Armed with experience gained from more than two decades of working all over Kerala, CIGI is now extending its boundaries to other parts of the country.
